My Story
My love for photography began in high school, where I first picked up a film camera and spent hours in the darkroom learning the art of capturing light and emotion.
In 2012, when my oldest son—a United States Marine—returned home from deployment in Afghanistan, I purchased my first digital camera to document the joy of seeing him for the first time in seven long months. In that moment, my passion for photography was reignited.
Not long after, a friend asked me to photograph her family and create senior pictures for her daughter—and Diane Welter Images was born.
Today, as an Eden Prairie senior photographer serving the Twin Cities, I specialize in creating timeless, natural senior pictures that tell each student’s unique story. My “why” has remained the same from the very beginning: to provide my clients with high-quality images and the freedom to enjoy and use them however they choose.
I am a natural light photographer with a style that is classic, true to color, and timeless. As a creative storyteller, I love capturing genuine moments that reflect personality, connection, and this once-in-a-lifetime season.
On a personal note, I live in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, with my husband George. We have three wonderful sons—Peter, Will, and Jack—a beautiful daughter-in-law, Taylor, and a beloved furbaby, Nelli.
